Fire & Flood and Chapter 24 launched their new tasting room on a sunny Saturday afternoon in late November. A packed crowd enjoyed acrobats from the AWOL (Aerial Without Limits) dance collective swinging from the ceiling. Two of Portland’s buzziest chefs,  Aaron Barnett of St. Jack PDX and Graham Chaney of Stammtisch, served little tastes of their signature dishes. Bull Run Distillery crafted a signature cocktail for Chapter 24, and bottled water was provided by Volcanic Mineral Refresher.

Chapter 24 winemaker Mike Etzel was joined by Ericka Landon of Walter Scott Wines at the tasting table. As well as his Fire + Flood and Chapter 24 wines, Mike poured Pinot noirs from his own second generation family winery, Coattails, made by Mike and his brothers Jared and Nathan. Their father is Mike Etzel (Beaux Freres).

In the parking lot, a couple of Teslas shared space with lots of Scions, tiny city cars, and one very long limo stuck in the mud.
